Uses way too much CPU

Neat and clean. It gives you a quick glance at the weather; exactly what I need.
However, it consumes way too much CPU - always at a steady 6% on a 4GHz quad-core Intel Core i7. I am running a linux virtual machine under VMWare, PyCharm which is a Java based IDE, Chrome and other dev tools. This app is constatly using more CPU than each one of those apps. It’s sitting in the background doing nothing (with the exception of when it needs a data update) how can it consume so much CPU?
